VIN 194670S404609. This two owner piece of Corvette
history is one of the very last pre-smog Corvettes built. This
car, # 4609 and around serial number # 7000 the same car was loaded
with smog equipment.
This car was purchased by the judging chairman of Southern California
Chapter NCRS from the original owner in 1985. The car was
originally purchased from Harry Mann Chevrolet. The entire
mechanical was restored by the NCRS judge to the highest standards with
all Chevrolet parts in 1985. This car has received 2 chapter, 1
regional, and 1 national NCRS Top Flight awards. Includes original tank
sticker. Odometer reads
95,427.
Matching #'s 454/390 plus horse power engine. Casting #
3963512. Date code K119... . Engine pad # T0202CGW.
Original automatic turbo 400 transmission. Rear end code
CAW2770. 3.08:1 heavy duty 454 rear end. Correct front and
rear big block sway bars. Correct air cleaner, shielding,
radiator, carb, expansion tank, intake, exhaust manifolds, plug wires,
distributor, alternator, hoses, etc. Very original engine
compartment as you would expect.
Optioned with power steering,
power brakes, and am/fm radio. Paint code 982, Donnybrooke
Green. Factory original lacquer paint. Some minor
imperfections, but in excellent condition for its age. Original
weather stripping in very nice condition. No hit body with all
bonding strips intact. Rust free California frame.
Re-chromed bumpers, original emblems and grills in very nice condition.
Trim code 400, black vinyl. Upgraded leather seats in excellent
condition. The original seats are available. Newer
carpet. Original dash and door panels in excellent
condition. Correct gauges and shifter. Overall very nice
interior.
Correct wheels and turbine hub caps. Correct style Goodyear Eagle
radial tires.
